Learning to teach English to children is not only rewarding, but also an excellent opportunity for you to take your own English to the next level. In this 100 lesson intensive diploma course you will learn language teaching theory and techniques related to teaching English to children, and then put your knowledge to use with practical experience in a Canadian childcare facility.

If you want to increase your job marketability, you can also choose to write the Teaching Knowledge Test (TKT) and receive an additional certificate from the University of Cambridge.

 

TESOL

25 lessons per week

This 100 lesson intensive diploma course prepares you for a career in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL). In this program you will learn theories, strategies, and methods for teaching English to adults, and develop the knowledge and skills need to be a competent instructor. You will actively practice what you learn through micro teaching lessons and a mini practicum. Constructive feedback from veteran instructors and classroom observations of real ESL classes will give you first-hand insight into the ESL teaching world. A challenging full-time schedule and strict homework regimen will ensure you are well-prepared and confident to teach by the time you graduate.

iTTTi Vancouver is an official Cambridge test venue. TESOL Diploma students are eligible to take a Cambridge Teaching Knowledge Test (TKT) to receive additional qualifications.

This 100 lesson intensive diploma course is ideal for international students who would like to gain a very strong foundation in teaching knowledge. You will study the Cambridge materials which are specifically made for preparing to take the Cambridge Teaching Knowledge test. Taking this course not only increases your confidence in the classroom but also enhances your career options as the Cambridge TKT is a universally respected proof of ESL teaching knowledge. During the course you will also engage in micro teaching opportunities to further build your teaching skills.
