Exam Electives

25 lessons per week. Maximum 14 students per class

TOEFL, TOEIC and IELTS are taken as afternoon electives of an Intensive English Language program. Studying in conjunction with either GE or ISS allows you to concentrate on improving your all-round English ability at the right level in the morning and focus on the strategies and key techniques necessary to pass your exam in the afternoons.

TOEFL iBT

The TOEFL test measures the ability of non-native speakers to use and understand English as it is used in college and university. In the iTTTi exam preparation course, you have the opportunity to dramatically increase your academic English skills through fast-paced, high-energy lessons and practice for the real test in our state-of-the-art computer lab.

IELTS

This course prepares you to take the International English Language Testing System exam.  IELTS has reached academic and professional recognition as one of the best vehicles for assessing a student’s proficiency in English and is recognized by almost all universities around the world. It consists of four modules:  Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing which yield both a balanced and comprehensive understanding of the skills necessary for the advanced usage of English, as well as teaching essential strategies for taking the exam.

TOEIC

Through a series of exercises and strategies for improving overall English language skills, you will gain valuable grammatical and lexical knowledge in preparation for the Test of English for International Communication.  You will take practice tests and focus on the common mistakes made by students on this exam.  You will also be given the opportunity to practice for the newer speaking portion of the TOEIC test. iTTTi Vancouver is an official TOEIC Test Centre so you can take your exam in your school.
